Job Summary
Operates street sweeper truck and other heavy equipment under the Streets Manager to maintain 200 lane miles of paved roads, performs grading, blading, ditching and drainage work, loads materials with backhoe/forklift/front-end loader, and may serve as crew leader. Requires knowledge of standard practices, safety precautions, and ability to read maps/plans; includes responding to citizen inquiries related to storm water and flooding, and performing basic mechanical maintenance on equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must possess valid Florida CDL Class B driver’s license
- Ability to operate street sweeper truck and heavy equipment
- Experience or familiarity with storm water/streets related work preferred
