Street Outreach Worker

Job Summary
Street Outreach Worker responsible for connecting community members experiencing homelessness with Anishnabe services and programs, developing and monitoring Service/Action Plans, and conducting self-administered assessments to determine pathways through services. Coordinates with First Nations and external organizations to provide culturally appropriate supports, supports life stabilization and employability goals through Mino Bimaadizidaa curriculum in group and individual settings, and requires strong knowledge of Indigenous cultures, community services networks, and effective communication. Must facilitate workshops, balance client care with target outcomes, and navigate service pathways back to community-based supports; travel and independent work with minimal supervision are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Social Services Work or equivalent
- 2-5 years employment experience with Indigenous people and facilitating groups
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Persons Sector Check
- Driver's Abstract
- Valid Class “G” Driver’s License with a reliable vehicle
- Ability to travel
