Job Summary
As a Street Maintenance Worker, you will perform a variety of tasks including pothole repair, concrete work, and asphalt base repair. The position is entry-level with no prior experience required, but one year in construction or infrastructure maintenance is preferred. You will operate specialty equipment and vehicles, maintain a safe work environment, and participate in emergency duties as needed. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with a valid driver's license. The position requires obtaining a Class B CDL with specific endorsements within six months.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with favorable driving record
- Ability to read and write at necessary levels for job performance
- Class B commercial driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsements required within six months of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Municipality experience preferred
- Ability to operate a commercial vehicle
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to participate in CDL training program if not currently possessing a CDL
