Job Summary
Street Lighting Operative responsible for routine maintenance of street lighting and associated equipment, installation of new equipment per IE regulations and contract specs, working solo or in a team, attending training, conducting daily risk assessments, ensuring unsafe tools or appliances are immobilised, reporting defects and incidents, operating allocated vehicles with a UK driving licence, and maintaining personal tools and records. Requires compliance with electrical engineering regulations and DE&I commitments, with opportunities to participate in ongoing training and development.
Required Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to carry out routine maintenance on street lighting equipment
- Knowledge of IE E Regulations / Electrical Installation Regulations
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Willingness to attend training sessions
- Carrying out daily risk assessments at point of work
- Reporting defects, incidents and non-conformities
- Carrying out vehicle checks and maintenance as allocated
- Record-keeping
- Compliance with statutory electrical engineering requirements
