Job Summary
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on fleet vehicles and heavy construction equipment, including asphalt distributors, pavers, and tankers. Troubleshoot malfunctions to execute mild to heavy repairs, complete maintenance logs, and maintain work tools. Clean the work area, lock out equipment when not in use, and report to the field for assigned duties. Requires a valid driver's license, knowledge of air brakes, and ability to lift 65 pounds. Weekend and long hours during peak season are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Drivers' License with clean driving record
- Knowledge of air brake systems
- Possess own Mechanic's tools
- Capable of lifting up to 65 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders, walk long distances, and push/pull
- Willingness to work weekends and long hours during peak season
Desired Qualifications
- Heavy construction equipment and repair experience preferred
- Diesel and heavy truck repair experience preferred
- Experience with hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting preferred
