Job Summary

Review appointment completion data to identify workflow bottlenecks and root causes of failed bookings. Design and run manual pilots to improve patient re-engagement, scheduling, and completion rates while building lightweight models to flag high-risk segments. Partner with Clinical Operations to refine workflows for patient safety and quality before rolling out proven processes to frontline teams. Translate successful manual executions into scalable product requirements for Engineering and manage cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through measurement. Coordinate contractor schedules and re-engage patients who missed scheduling windows, balancing strategic analysis with direct execution to drive operational improvements. Prepare recommendations for leadership on prioritizing operational levers and communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs across stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

2–5 years in consulting, banking, business operations, strategy and operations, healthcare operations, health-tech operations, or a similar analytical and execution-oriented role
experience in a healthcare, health-tech, clinical operations, payer/provider, digital health, or patient-facing operating environment
experience in a startup, high-growth company, or similarly fast-moving environment
ability to own ambiguous problems end to end, translating broad goals into structured plans and measurable outcomes
ability to use data to diagnose operational issues, prioritize opportunities, and measure whether an initiative worked
ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Engineering, Operations, Clinical, Finance, or frontline teams
ability to balance multiple projects at once while maintaining ownership of execution details
ability to operate effectively with shifting priorities, incomplete information, and imperfect processes
ability to build clear analyses, project plans, business cases, operating docs, or decision memos
ability to pull, manipulate, or analyze your own data using tools such as SQL, Excel, Google Sheets, BI tools, or AI-assisted workflows
ability to communicate clearly with both senior leaders and frontline operators
experience in patient operations, clinical operations, care delivery, payer operations, provider operations, care navigation, scheduling, utilization, quality, or other healthcare workflows
a consulting or banking background and have since worked in a startup or operating role
experience in business operations or strategy and operations at a high-growth health-tech company
experience with regulated healthcare data, patient workflows, clinical protocols, or PHI-aware operating environments
comfortable going deep into the details of a workflow rather than staying only at the strategic level
a track record of taking on more scope over time and can point to specific examples where feedback changed how you worked
naturally pull people together, clarify ownership, and move quickly rather than perfecting an idea alone before sharing it
ability to turn ambiguous healthcare operations problems into structured plans and measurable outcomes
equally comfortable building a model, writing a memo, running a pilot, and jumping into the workflow yourself
ability to help fix issues rather than just identifying them
ability to use data to focus the team on what matters most, but also understand what is happening on the ground
ability to move quickly, learn from imperfect information, and iterate based on results
ability to build trust with clinical, operational, product, engineering, and frontline teams
ability to know when to solve something manually first and when it is ready to become a system
care deeply about the patient experience and understand that operational details directly affect whether people receive care
