Job Summary
Execute apalutamide medical affairs priorities by tracking deliverables, synthesizing scientific summaries, and capturing meeting minutes. Support healthcare professional engagement through planning advisory boards, preparing discussion guides, and organizing insight-capture templates. Develop and refine scientific slide decks, internal updates, and presentation materials while maintaining version control and visual standards. Maintain scientific communication platform resources, FAQs, and objection handlers to ensure consistent messaging across stakeholders. Assist with congress preparation, abstract tracking, and post-event reporting to capture competitive intelligence and medical insights.
Required Qualifications
- Available to work for the duration of the 12-month co-op term
- Strong interest in pharmaceutical/biotech medical affairs, oncology, prostate cancer, scientific communications, or healthcare strategy
- Foundational understanding of clinical research, medical literature, and evidence-based scientific communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis without the need of future sponsorship requirements
- Remain actively enrolled in their academic program throughout the entire internship
- Be available to work 37.5 hours during the entire internship
- Have a record of strong academic performance recommended 2.8 and above
Desired Qualifications
- PhD/PharmD candidate, graduate student, or recent graduate with academic experience in pharmacy, biomedical sciences, pharmacology, epidemiology, public health, medical sciences, or a related field
- Prior coursework, research, rotation, internship, or work experience in oncology, urology, medical affairs, clinical development, medical information, regulatory affairs, or medical communications
- Experience creating or refining slide decks, scientific summaries, or educational materials
- Familiarity with oncology terminology, clinical trial design, and common evidence-generation concepts
- Interest in prostate cancer, genitourinary oncology, launch readiness, congress strategy, or scientific communications
- Comfort working with digital tools, dashboards, social listening outputs, or structured trackers
