Job Summary
Strategy Consultant – Manager in Japan: lead Novaspace’s activities in Japan, drive business development with institutional and commercial clients, serve as the key point of contact, oversee project coordination across offices, nurture long-term partnerships, participate in proposal writing and contract negotiations, act as local lead for stakeholder engagement and event participation, and coordinate with international teams to align priorities and contribute to global missions. Must be bilingual (Japanese-English), possess strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, and have 5–8 years in space/defense/technology consulting or related strategic roles; Master’s degree required. Occasional international travel and work authorization in Japan required.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in consulting, business development, or strategic roles in the space, defense, or technology sectors
- Master’s degree in engineering, business, economics, or related fields
- Fluency in Japanese and English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of the Japanese space ecosystem, including government programs and commercial actors
- Advanced analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative international team environment
- Flexibility for occasional international travel
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Proven track record of managing projects and client relationships
