Strategy and Governance Director

Strategy and Governance Director to enable senior executives by shaping and executing in-year and multi-year business strategy, providing strategic support to the CEO and top leaders, and managing governance processes. Responsibilities include steering strategic initiatives, managing colleague engagement aligned to strategic direction, coordinating cross-functional projects, improving operational efficiency, developing performance reporting and financial analysis, budgeting and resource planning, risk and contingency oversight, compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading a high-performing team. The role acts as principal interface between executive leadership and cross-functional teams, translates priorities into executable plans, leads governance forums, and delivers actionable insights from complex data to inform decision-making, while embedding Barclays’ leadership behaviours and values across the function.
