Job Summary
Research, write, and provide succinct products on complex issues for senior leaders, including information, background, decision papers, and briefings. Prepare analyses comparing alternative solutions while considering strategic implications. Review policy papers to identify impacts on the Air National Guard and support the Director's Action Group with high-level coordination and communication with Headquarters Air Force, the National Guard Bureau, and other joint entities. Contribute to the development and revision of ANG strategy documents and offer recurring and surge support to key planning and programming processes. This role requires a current active Secret security clearance, a Bachelor's degree, and 4-8 years of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Current, active Secret security clearance
- 4-8 years of related professional experience
- Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus
- Professional proficiency in English
- Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to access federal facilities in compliance with Real ID
- U.S. Citizenship
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- MA/MS degree or other advanced degree
- Graduate of Professional Military Education
- Experience working at or with the headquarters level of a military service
- Knowledge of the Air Force strategic documents and Total Force Integration (TFI) initiatives
- An understanding of the Air National Guard Strategic Planning System (SPS)
- A familiarity with the phases of DoD's PPBE system and the responsibilities of the services in building a program and budget
- Familiarity with the AF Task Management Tool (TMT)
