Job Summary

Monitor committee hearings at the Georgia State Capitol and prepare meeting summaries for clients. Conduct research to produce weekly written reports, briefs, and memos on General Assembly actions and policy areas. Utilize software to track client legislation and organize TS-hosted events on and off site. Coordinate with the Government Affairs team to monitor emerging government activities and economic developments relevant to client strategies. Gain exposure to clients and elected officials through direct networking opportunities during the 40-day legislative session.

Required Qualifications

  • College student status
  • Availability for the 2027 Georgia Legislative Session (January 2027 to end of session)
  • Ability to attend committee hearings in and around the Georgia State Capitol
  • Ability to take notes and prepare meeting summaries
  • Ability to conduct research and prepare weekly written reports, briefs, and memos
  • Ability to utilize software to track relevant client legislation
  • Ability to organize and staff TS-hosted events on and off site
  • Ability to coordinate with the Government Affairs team
  • Ability to perform research and monitor to obtain knowledge of relevant policy and government affairs issues
  • Ability to identify emerging issues and help in the development of government affairs strategies
  • Ability to gain exposure to clients and elected officials
  • Ability to network for future careers
