Job Summary
Perform complex rework and repairs on aircraft parts, assemblies, and structural installations, including plumbing and cable work within confined spaces like wings and stabilizers. Interpret blueprints, engineering documents, and work orders to execute precise modifications using advanced tools such as precision drilling, automated machinery, and mechanical lifts. Fabricate production aids, replace structural components, and apply mathematical calculations to ensure all repairs align with engineering specifications. Coordinate with other departments to maintain project schedules while adhering to strict safety standards and regulatory compliance. Work onsite in a Strategic Support Team environment, utilizing electronic systems to report progress and access instructions.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience with the design of structural and electrical rework/repairs to restore the aircraft or system to original design capability
- 1+ years of experience working with precision measuring tools
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience shooting and bucking solid rivets
- Experience with drilling and/or precision drilling
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite
- This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements
- A 'US Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required
- US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in large scale re-work such as; skin change, bulk heads, frames, and other structural components
- Experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools
- Ability to work in confined spaces
