Job Summary
Coordinate and support the Sourcing Team through all stages of the procurement process, including managing the RFP process per BPS guidelines and implementing resulting contracts. Liaise with Members on contract issues, committee action items, and strategic sourcing inquiries while developing documentation such as NDAs and COIs. Execute basic procurement requests like obtaining vendor quotes, Limited Tenders, and contract extensions using Microsoft Business Central and e-tendering sites. Act as an RFx Bid Administrator to provide bid analysis, evaluations, and award recommendations, and maintain up-to-date system information on initiative milestones. Manage the contract landscape by proactively meeting with end users to review upcoming expiries, administering transactions for major agreements and ensuring compliance with terms. Review material specifications with customer groups to acquire the best value, track cost savings, and provide timely project status updates to internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications
- Post secondary degree or diploma
- 1 to 2 years' experience in a purchasing/sourcing environment
- Knowledge of suppliers and dealing with people in differing levels of profession/position
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a high concentration on Customer Service
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Adaptability with a desire to learn
- Proven organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated follow-up abilities
- Results orientated
- Self-starter, highly motivated, works well without constant supervision
- Demonstrated ability to organize, control and coordinate various activities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Knowledge/experience in materials provisioning and understanding of business and legal issues
- Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required
- As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to Human Resources
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a purchasing/sourcing environment
- Health care experience
- CSCMP, CPIM, CPPO or CPPB designation
- Good understanding of the P2P, supply chain and related ERP processes
- Previous experience with Contract Lifecycle Management Software
- Contract development and negotiation experience
- Broader Public Sector and Ontario Public Service Procurement Directives RFx experience
