Job Summary
Manage global commodities and categories, including goods and services, to provide best-in-class procurement experiences while maximizing budget returns. Lead analysis of commodity data and industry trends, then meet with stakeholders to translate business priorities into procurement plans. Participate in supplier selection, negotiate commercial and legal terms, and execute risk mitigation and cost management strategies. Monitor supplier performance and advise program-level representatives on contract risks using standard templates.
Required Qualifications
- First level university degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain function
- Understanding of procurement processes, industry, and suppliers
- Basic analytical skills
- Knowledge of business application tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities
- Basic Project Management skills
- Basic ability to develop suppliers
- Strong teamwork and basic leadership skills; basic influencing skills
- Mastery in English and local language
- Ability to create a contract using standard company contract templates with supervision
- Applies cause and effect thinking to identify common contract risk areas
- Basic contracting principles
- Good understanding of the company's business units and the company's business strategy
- Hybrid work arrangement (average 2 days per week from an HPE office)
