Job Summary
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electrical components to support production at various EMS partners. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, technology, and service while negotiating contracts to achieve competitive pricing. Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular assessments, and collaborate with engineering teams to align sourcing with demand and technology roadmaps. Manage existing supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Prepare reports on sourcing activities and market analysis for senior management. This role requires a strong understanding of the electrical components market and proficiency in PLM and procurement software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sourcing or procurement with electrical components
- Strong understanding of the electronic distributor market and supply chain
- Strong understanding of electrical components, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent negotiations, presentation, analytical, planning, written, and verbal skills
- Proficient in data analysis and market research
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with PLM software
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lead a cross functional commodity team and work across the organization at all levels
