Job Summary
Own category strategies for key hardware and commodities including mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic components. Run end-to-end RFQ/RFP processes to scope, evaluate, negotiate, and award suppliers with leadership visibility. Identify and qualify new domestic and USMCA-friendly sources while conducting business reviews on delivery, quality, cost trajectory, and capacity. Negotiate commercial agreements for supply contracts, NDAs, equipment loans, and software licenses. Partner with engineering on component selection during NPI and collaborate with finance on COGS projections and savings tracking. Drive year-over-year cost reductions through volume leverage and design-to-cost collaboration. Report directly to the Head of Supply Chain in a hybrid role at our Glen Cove, NY manufacturing facility and New York City office.
Required Qualifications
- 3-6 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain
- hands-on experience negotiating supplier contracts
- Hardware sourcing background: mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic components
- Demonstrated negotiation experience
- Experience onboarding suppliers from scratch and managing qualification timelines
- Comfortable with TCO models, cost breakdowns, and spend analysis in Excel or equivalent
- Startup or high-growth mindset
- Note: This role is hybrid, with regular presence at our Glen Cove, NY manufacturing facility and New York City office.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience sourcing for a hardware or robotics product in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with USMCA, ITAR, or other trade compliance frameworks relevant to industrial hardware
- Exposure to NPI processes and the intersection of engineering and supply chain during new product development
- Background working with contract manufacturers or managing tooling capex
