Job Summary
Strategic Sourcing Manager with five+ years of experience leading a buying team in an on-site role. Responsible for minimizing back orders through data-driven decisions, negotiating favorable terms with suppliers, researching and evaluating suppliers for quality, price, and availability, and building a lifecycle strategy from adding new products to sunsetting discontinued items. Collaborates with Product Manager to optimize procurement processes, maintains supplier scorecards, manages KPI reporting, and identifies opportunities for strategic purchases. Requires strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in ERP/inventory software, advanced Excel, and distribution/industrial MRO product experience. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage supplier relationships to secure cost-effective, reliable supply and favorable terms.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Procurement Certifications preferred
- Advanced knowledge in Excel
- Experience in Distribution preferred
- Proficiency in ERP and inventory management software programs
- Experience in industrial MRO products
- Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy and great organizational skills
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Effective communication, persuasion, strategizing and negotiation skills
