Job Summary
Conduct strategic sourcing and purchasing activities for commercial Phase 5 programs, ensuring continuous supply of goods, materials, and services at optimal cost. Plan and supervise commodity management, supplier selection, contract agreements, and strategic purchasing initiatives while managing supplier escalations to mitigate operational impact. Proactively assess internal and external customer requirements, negotiate supplier improvements, and drive year-over-year improvements in supplier base quality, service, and cost. Execute supplier management programs including performance metrics development, audit support, and market analysis on pricing and capacity trends. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on optimal sourcing strategies and communicate initiatives across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Resource Management, Manufacturing or related field
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- 7+ years of experience in running a sophisticated supply chain (strategic sourcing, managing suppliers, industry analysis, contract management, negotiations, and forecasting)
- minimum of five (5) years in leadership role overseeing the work of team/department
- Demonstrated knowledge of leadership principles and practices, supervision, training, coaching and mentoring, and talent development of a diverse group of people
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or Masters degree and/or any certification a plus (APICS certification or Certified Purchasing Manager-CPM, Certified Supply Chain Professional-CSCP)
- Medical device preferred but not required
- Preferred experience with electronic components and assemblies with supply material spend of $50M+
