Strategic Sourcing Manager

Job Summary
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for parts installed on Autocar trucks, common parts, and private label products supporting our “Heavy-Duty Everything” vision. Lead supplier negotiations and support the development of long-term agreements that strengthen Autocar’s competitive position. Forecast and manage current part costs while identifying and executing cost reduction opportunities. Build strong relationships across sales, operations, engineering, manufacturing, and supplier partners. Lead and develop a team that includes sourcing specialists, analysts, and master data support personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5–10 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, sourcing, or buying within a complex manufacturing environment
- Proven success leading teams and delivering measurable business results
- Strong technical aptitude through hands-on experience or technical education
- Experience using fact-based data and analytics to drive sourcing decisions
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
