Strategic Sourcing Deal Desk Manager

Job Summary
Develop and maintain standardized workflows, approval matrices, and documentation for deal desk operations while leading initiatives to automate processes and reduce cycle times. Review sourcing analytics, scenario modeling, and cost structures to provide data-driven insights on deal performance, pricing trends, and win/loss analysis. Act as the primary liaison between Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations to streamline deal execution and coach a team on customer pricing requests and sourcing exceptions. Maintain dashboards to track KPIs such as deal velocity, margin improvement, and compliance adherence, conducting post-mortem reviews for closed deals to identify improvement opportunities. Partner with Strategic Sourcing and Category Management teams to align vendor negotiations with customer proposals.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, pricing, or commercial experience
- Experience leading Deal Desk team, Revenue Operations, or Sales Operations roles
- 5-10 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Basic experience of simple office/operational systems
- Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills
- Experienced in providing leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes, and challenges
- Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives
- Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong planning and organization skills
- Bachelor's Degree
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale RFPs and strategic sourcing processes
- Proficiency in CRM and CPQ tools (e.g., Salesforce, Deal Manager)
- Familiarity with ERP and pricing optimization tools
