Job Summary
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for protein-based raw materials, leading supply negotiations to achieve cost savings and mitigate risk. Monitor global protein markets, economic indicators, and regulatory changes while collaborating with NPD, Quality, and Operations to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Manage supplier performance, delivery reliability, and sustainability initiatives, optimizing supply chain lead times and EOQ purchases. Deliver $300k annual PPV results, input into S&OP+ processes, and maintain accurate master data and price files. Submit vendor claims and manage price variances through the S&OP process. Requires 7+ years in food manufacturing, 4 days in-office weekly, and occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Current expectation is to be in the office a minimum of 4 days per week
- May lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 10 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- +7 years of experience in food manufacturing preferred
- Overall knowledge and understanding and impacts of procurement strategy and execution to broader business
