Job Summary
Develop and execute robust sourcing strategies for direct materials including metals, plastics, rubber, and electronics to maximize total landed cost through best-cost country sourcing. Scout domestic and global suppliers, evaluate make-or-buy scenarios, and negotiate annual agreements covering specifications, total cost, logistics, and quality metrics. Actively collaborate with internal teams on supply chain planning, forecasting, and new product launches while driving continuous cost reduction via vendor audits and benchmarking. Manage supplier qualification processes and commercial issues, including price escalations and legal terms, to ensure alignment with Dometic's quality and technology standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or Engineering
- Minimum 8-10 years in Sourcing, Purchasing, Procurement
- Proven experience in sourcing different direct material components (metals, plastic, raw-material, rubber, electronics, traded products) and contract manufacturing
- Computer skills are a must with proficiency in Excel BI (pivot table, formulas, reports), Word, Power Point, Power BI, and AI utilization
- High mobility, 30% traveling within US to either Dometic locations or supplier including, travel overseas for one to two weeks, up to twice a year
- Familiar with and motivated by the Commercial side of Business
- In-depth knowledge of Purchasing/Sourcing area and manufacturing processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving, experience in business case and project financial analysis, strong project management skills
- A passion for project implementation
- Forward thinking, strategic mindset
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree is a plus
- Experience in overseas trips and supplier development in low-cost regions preferred
