Job Summary
Lead and grow RockSol's design practice across Southern and/or Western Colorado, serving as the Engineer of Record for transportation projects delivered to CDOT, municipalities, and local governments. Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and quality while building relationships with regional partners to secure new work. Mentor engineering staff and collaborate with Construction Management, Inspection, Materials Testing, and Geotechnical teams to deliver construction-focused solutions. Requires a Colorado Professional Engineer with 6+ years of roadway/transportation design experience. Required Qualifications
- Colorado Professional Engineer (PE)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 6+ years of roadway/transportation design and project management experience in Hydraulics, Structures & Traffic, including serving as Engineer of Record
- Extensive experience delivering transportation projects for CDOT and local public agencies
- Established relationships and a strong professional reputation within Colorado's transportation industry
- Foster & develop clients, win work, and grow a Transportation practice
- Proficient in OpenRoads Designer
- Collaborative leader with excellent communication skills
- Passion for mentoring and developing engineering teams
- Must be alert to equipment in the field
- Occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery
- Occasional need to walk on uneven ground
- Exposure to dust, gas or fumes
- Exposure to noise
- Exposure to extremes in temperature or humidity
- Potential work at heights
- Must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 20 pounds
- Must be available for pre-employment screening
- Must pass background checks including SSN/SIN validation, motor vehicle verification, education verification, employment verification, criminal check, search against global sanctions and government watch lists, and drug tests
