Job Summary
As a Strategic Sales professional at Aurelian, you will drive revenue and market expansion in the public safety sector, develop sales strategies targeting high-impact accounts, and build trusted relationships with emergency communication centers and city agencies. Your role involves managing complex sales cycles, serving as an advocate for customer needs, identifying upsell opportunities, and providing market intelligence to guide growth. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of public sector SaaS sales experience, a strong understanding of public safety technologies, and excellent communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years in public sector SaaS sales, ideally in the SLED market, with a record of consistently exceeding quota.
- Experience selling $50K–$250K+ deals, and comfort navigating procurement-heavy, long sales cycles.
- A network within emergency communication centers, PSAPs, and public safety agencies, with insights into how they operate and buy technology.
- Willingness to travel 50% to meet clients, attend industry events, and support deployments when needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of public safety tech ecosystems, especially around NG9-1-1, Call Handling Equipment, CAD systems, and other ECC workflows.
- Excellent executive communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders ranging from dispatch leads to CIOs and government decision-makers.
- Strategic thinking and self-direction, with a knack for building repeatable, scalable sales processes.
