Job Summary
Strategic Risk, VP role within State Street's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) group. The incumbent will support the development of strategic risk management capabilities, establish new programs and governance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new practices in strategic risk. Key responsibilities include horizon scanning, strategic risk analysis, integrating outputs into management reporting and dashboards, developing risk assessment methodologies and frameworks, prioritizing key activities and remediation, and producing senior management updates and materials for governance committees (CRO and senior Management- and Board-level risk governance). Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills, ability to distill complex concepts into actionable guidance, and proficiency in project management are essential. Advanced Excel and exposure to programming (R, Python) are a plus. Salary range: $120,000 - $202,500 annually; location-based considerations apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- 8+ years of professional experience
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Strong technical/quantitative skills; Excel and basic programming (e.g., R, Python) a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
- Ability to create effective presentations for senior leadership
- Project management skills including coordination with stakeholders
