Strategic Projects Manager
$170,000–$190,000 year
On-siteNew York City, New York, United States or Arlington, Virginia, United States
Job Summary
Own ambiguous, high-stakes problems end to end by structuring loosely defined questions from founders or unit leaders and driving them to tangible results. Quarterboard across teams to coordinate operations, commercial, and product for projects no single unit owns, while producing rigorous technical and financial outputs like unit-economics models and operational analyses. Move dynamically between sales, operations, and growth to stand up recruiting, fix bottlenecks, or run commercial pilots, then turn one-off projects into repeatable processes with playbooks and metrics. Requires 2–4 years at a top-tier consulting firm and 50% travel; builds on Quartermaster's scaling maritime coverage by placing sensing equipment aboard commercial ships worldwide.

- Strong communication
Desired Qualifications
- Startup experience at a high growth/scaling company preferred
- Exposure to maritime, logistics, hardware, supply chain, or another operationally complex, physical-world business
- Hands-on data skills (SQL, Python, or strong spreadsheet/BI work) to pull your own answers rather than wait on others
- Early-stage startup or founding-team experience
- Ability to travel 50%
