Job Summary
Strategic Product Manager for a multi-product portfolio in Health & Safety serving the restaurant/hospitality sectors. Lead the portfolio’s strategy, lifecycle (from business case to retirement), and performance; act as an internal advocate across Development, Marketing, Sales, Platforms, IT, Regulatory, Customer Operations, and Finance. Drive market understanding of restaurant, food service, and food retail needs, competitive landscape, trends, and opportunities; collaborate with course and exam development teams; frame business requirements with Platforms and IT; translate needs into PBIs and user stories with Business Analysts. Apply a data-driven, research-based approach to ensure product delivery meets B2C and B2B customer expectations around purchase, access, and delivery. Provide thought leadership on pricing, business model, and technology strategies; identify and test ideas via focus groups, customer interviews, user testing, and advisory groups; regularly analyze plans to align revenue forecasting with goals. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred), 3+ years in product management, and experience with B2B/B2C digital education/training software; the role operates from Chicago with three onsite days and remote options later in the week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Business Administration preferred
- Minimum three years of product management experience in B2B or B2C digital education products
- Strong understanding of eLearning capabilities and education trends
- Experience with product life cycles, strategic planning, sales and marketing strategy
- Proven knowledge of education/training and certification software and delivery solutions (e.g., Learning Management Systems)
- Strong communication skills; verbal, written and presentation
- Self-motivated, customer-focused, and capable of building business partnerships
- Organizational, time-management, priority-setting and problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal, negotiation, conflict management, and diplomacy skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments; office and virtual
- Occasional travel may be required
