Strategic Procurement Specialist (f/m/d)

Job Summary
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key commodities, components, and services while selecting, onboarding, and managing global suppliers to build long-term strategic partnerships. Lead cost reduction and value engineering initiatives in collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing, and manage supplier negotiations for contracts and commercial agreements. Identify, manage, and mitigate supply chain risks through effective contingency and risk mitigation plans. Act as the procurement interface to Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Quality, and Operations for selected commodities and projects, supporting new product introductions and ensuring material availability. Support procurement processes, KPI reporting, and system improvements while maintaining supplier documentation and contracts. This role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field, 3+ years of experience in strategic procurement, and strong negotiation and analytical skills. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in strategic procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proven experience managing strategic suppliers and complex sourcing initiatives
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial skills
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers
- Experience supporting NPI, production ramp-ups, and scaling operations
- Structured, data-driven working style with a high sense of ownership
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluency in English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ERP and procurement systems (e.g. SAP) is a plus
- German is a plus
