Job Summary
Strategic Procurement Manager to define and execute long-term procurement strategy across global suppliers, focusing on supplier strategy, cost optimization, risk management, and scalability to support current production and future growth. Collaborates with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Operations; leads cost reduction and value engineering initiatives; negotiates contracts and commercial agreements; manages supplier risk and contingency plans; supports NPI, ramp-ups, and production scaling, and aligns procurement with production planning, inventory policies, and quality requirements. Requires a degree in a related field, 5+ years in strategic procurement, strong negotiation and analytical skills, ERP/SAP experience, and English (German a plus).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in strategic procurement or supply chain management
- Proven experience managing strategic suppliers and complex sourcing initiatives
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial skills
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers
- Experience supporting NPI, production ramp-ups, and scaling operations
- Structured, data-driven working style with a high sense of ownership
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with ERP and procurement systems (e.g. SAP) is a plus
- Fluency in English; German is a plus
