Job Summary
Strategic Operations Lead (Labs Lead) at Gusto to design, build, and run the Benefits Labs system—governing how operational changes are tested, validated, and scaled. Own intake and triage of incoming work using AI-powered systems, run pilot governance with defined success metrics, and produce evidence-based leadership readouts. Lead cross-functional work with product, engineering, operations, enablement, and business partners; coach Pilot Leads and BizOps on AI-powered ways of working. Expect hybrid work with 2-3 days in Denver, San Francisco, or New York offices. Must be an AI-native builder who can deploy AI agents, automations, or workflows that execute multi-step work and measure leverage. Minimum 4+ years in relevant operations roles; bonus in benefits/insurance domain; strong data fluency and systems-thinking capabilities.
