Job Summary
Senior Associate on the Strategic Accounting project at JPMorgan Chase supporting design of accounting architecture, documenting GAAP requirements, liaising with controllers to capture needs, coordinating with operations support and technology, ensuring alignment with Finance Principles and control environments, analyzing controls for process improvements, and writing/executing UAT and End-to-End/testing while communicating updates to finance stakeholders and enabling design decisions. Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, Word, and familiarity with equities/derivatives; knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL is a plus; ability to prepare executive-level presentations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Minimum 3 years of finance experience/ experience as controller or accounting/general ledger support function
- Understanding of general ledger and accounting functions and processes
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot tables, v-lookups), PowerPoint and Word
- Strong skills in time management, problem solving, written and verbal communication
