Job Summary
Own end-to-end financial analyses for major R&D initiatives and existing products, partnering with leadership to translate engineering problems into quantitative measures, and building scalable financial models. Responsibilities include creating and presenting detailed financial models and P&L analyses across products, business lines, divisions, and acquisitions; developing new financial frameworks for operational decisions and cost targets; collaborating with Engineering and Supply Chain to implement cost-reduction roadmaps; providing a financial perspective on tradeoffs between product features, costs, and profitability; and performing “Red-Team” financial assessments for engineering plans.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing finance, engineering finance, or in a finance role at a high growth hardware company
- strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts
- strong analytical aptitude
- ability to quickly execute analyses in Excel
- ability to quantify complex often ambiguous problems
- willingness to learn how to use corporate systems (e.g. Salesforce, Coupa, Anaplan) and analytic/dashboarding tools (e.g. Palantir Foundry)
- comfort communicating broadly with large groups and senior leadership
- ability to balance flexibility (e.g. leaving early for appointments) with responsive communication
- U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
