Strategic Finance Associate

Job Summary
Analyze financial results, track performance against budget, and provide insights to management. Independently maintain the operating model while performing ad hoc analyses of financial trends. Manage cash flow, optimize working capital through accounts payable and receivable, and oversee treasury including fiat and crypto holdings. Partner with external advisors to ensure accurate, compliant accounting and reporting. This role reports to the Director of Finance and requires 2-4 years of finance experience with strong spreadsheet skills. Based in the New York office (hybrid), you will support strategic projects as the Monad Foundation scales its performant EVM Layer 1 blockchain.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of finance experience gained through working in client services (e.g., investment banking, management consulting, etc.), corporate finance, or both
- Previous experience building an operational budget, analyzing performance, and reporting on budget variance
- Highly proficient in Google Sheets and/or Excel
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial operations, including monthly close processes
- Genuinely curious about crypto / web3 with an openness to learning new tools and frameworks
- This role will be based in the New York office (hybrid)
Desired Qualifications
- Comfort with financial tech stack (e.g., QuickBooks, Ramp, Cryptio, Deel, etc.)
- Prior professional experience in crypto / web3
