Job Summary
Develop and execute enterprise strategic communications and marketing strategies aligned with corporate growth and federal business development objectives. Lead brand, messaging architecture, and market positioning while serving as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on reputation management and stakeholder engagement. Partner with Business Development, Capture, and Proposal teams to create compelling narratives, capability statements, and win themes that support federal opportunities. Manage corporate branding, public relations, digital marketing, and content development, including executive presentations, thought-leadership articles, and agency-specific materials. Oversee external communications with federal agencies, media, and industry partners, while establishing editorial standards and vendor management protocols. Direct the Strategic Communications and Marketing budget and lead a team of communications personnel, ensuring all messaging accurately reflects organizational capabilities and adheres to compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, English, Government/Public Affairs, or a related field
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in strategic communications, marketing, public relations, corporate communications, or related disciplines
- Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership or management responsibility
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within the federal government contracting, defense, aerospace, technology, professional services, consulting, or other government-facing environment
- Demonstrated experience partnering with Business Development, Capture, Proposal, or Growth organizations
- Experience developing communications for complex technical, professional services, or mission-oriented organizations
- Demonstrated experience managing external agencies, consultants, designers, writers, digital providers, or other vendors
- Experience developing executive-level communications and advising senior organizational leaders
- Experience managing communications budgets, personnel, projects, and competing organizational priorities
- Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Public Affairs, or a related discipline
- Knowledge or experience in Federal business development and capture
- Knowledge or experience in Federal proposal development
- Knowledge or experience in Government acquisition and procurement processes
- Knowledge or experience in Government-wide acquisition contracts and IDIQ vehicles
- Knowledge or experience in Agency-specific contract vehicles
- Knowledge or experience in Teaming and subcontractor relationships
- Knowledge or experience in Government-industry conferences and industry days
- Knowledge or experience in Federal customer engagement
- Knowledge or experience in Past-performance and capability positioning
- Knowledge or experience in Proposal oral presentations and executive briefings
- Knowledge or experience in Government contractor corporate communications
- Knowledge or experience in Federal market research and competitive positioning
- Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and general federal procurement practices
