Job Summary
Strategic Communications Manager for PCL Construction’s Civil West in Tempe. Lead planning, development and execution of internal and external communications initiatives; develop strategies aligned with business priorities and employee engagement; produce content (intranet, website articles, thought leadership, executive messaging, award submissions, project profiles, conference abstracts, video scripts); manage national editorial calendar; provide communications counsel to leadership; oversee internal communications and change-management efforts; support executive communications and collaborate with digital marketing and social teams to measure performance and optimize strategies using analytics; coordinate with clients and industry partners on external opportunities; ensure alignment with brand, objectives and risk practices; identify reputational risks and mitigation; mentor communications team; travel 10-20% across the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field
- Architecture, Engineering or Construction experience highly preferred
- 10 years of progressive experience in communications, including a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills (AP style)
- Measurable strategic communications plans development and implementation
- Strong executive communications and stakeholder management experience
- Ability to translate technical information into clear messaging
- Travel willingness (10-20%)
