Job Summary
Develop and execute communications strategies that strengthen LANXESS' reputation and stakeholder trust across North America, translating business priorities and innovation stories into clear messaging for external and internal audiences. Lead media relations, issues management, and crisis communications, including preparing leaders for media interactions and managing agency partnerships. Partner with business units to identify customer stories and market trends, while utilizing communication analytics to align impact with organizational objectives. Requires high independence and strong strategic judgment to balance legal considerations and operational realities in a fast-paced environment. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 3-4 days per week in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, Business Administration or a Communications-related field
- 10 or more years of relevant experience
- High degree of independence
- Strong strategic judgment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment
- Ability to balance corporate reputation, business objectives, stakeholder expectations, legal considerations, and operational realities
- This is a HYBRID role with an on-site presence required in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office at a minimum of 3-4 days per week every week
