Job Summary
Develop and qualify new coating processes to meet delivery and quality targets while supporting manufacturing readiness at HSMC sites in Asheville NC, East Hartford CT, and Middletown NY. Define future process needs regarding equipment, tooling, and inspection to maximize yield and minimize cost. Lead implementation of standardized engineering practices and drive MRL alignment for new processes. Participate in factory and site acceptance testing for new equipment designs. Pursue operational excellence through data-driven process improvements and technology deployment to achieve product cost reduction targets. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience and U.S. citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or similar degree
- Minimum 8 years prior relevant experience
- Advanced Degree in a related field
- Minimum 5 years experience (for candidates with Advanced Degree)
- 3-5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing engineering or similar experience
Desired Qualifications
- Six Sigma green belt or equivalent
- Prior work experience in the Aerospace Industry
- Project management experience
- Electron Beam Physical Vapor Deposition
- Vapor Phase Aluminide
