Job Summary
Strategic Category & Sourcing Manager for Indirect (New Joint Venture) at 3M, Monroe, NC on-site. Lead and/or support development and execution of strategic sourcing plans across indirect spend categories (MRO, Fleet, IT, Capital Projects, R&D, Energy, Site Services, etc.), negotiate and extend commercial agreements and contracts, manage supplier relationships and performance, and conduct spend analysis, market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, and cost improvement initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Finance, IT, Facilities, and R&D to align sourcing requirements with operational, technical, and financial objectives; lead supplier reviews and ensure contract coverage, risk management, and business continuity. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) and five years of experience in sourcing or related fields; location is on-site in Monroe, NC with up to 10% travel; eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. The role may transition to the Joint Venture following the closing of 3M’s transaction with Bain Capital.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Five (5) years of experience in sourcing, category management, procurement, supply chain, operations, engineering, manufacturing, finance, or a related field in a private, public, government, or military environment
