Job Summary
Act as the interface between Continental and stakeholders, representing interests across Engineering, Plants, and Suppliers. Derive actionable strategies from business and purchasing plans to guide local and central teams in executing category goals. Lead international negotiations for supplier decisions, manage make-or-buy scenarios, and optimize bundling effects through value-engineering projects. Monitor and report KPIs to track progress while ensuring worldwide availability of materials and services. Conduct strategic complaint and claim negotiations and drive process improvements for total cost reduction.
Required Qualifications
- Academic degree in economics, engineering or equivalent qualification
- Proper experience of MS Office 365 programs as well as other relevant tools
- Fluent skills in English language, written and oral
- Relevant professional experience in Purchasing (or similar functions) in an international environment
- Advanced experience in project management and working in projects with an international scope / environment
- Good experience in conducting negotiations with a global responsibility
- High degree of international and intercultural competency
- Several years of work experience in an international environment required
- Working experience in negotiating and operating with different cultures and international teams
