Job Summary
Strategic Capture Lead responsible for identifying high-value DoD opportunities, shaping capture plans, and leading the full BD lifecycle from pipeline development to proposal support. The role emphasizes building and leveraging a broad DoD network (program offices, acquisition leads, industry partners), developing capture roadmaps for DoD components (e.g., NAVAIR, NAVSEA, SOCOM, AFLCMC), and leading activities such as shaping, call planning, customer meetings, win strategies, and proposal coordination. Candidate should have a track record of winning large-scale DoD contracts ($50M+), deep understanding of the federal procurement lifecycle, and the ability to influence requirements and program offices to drive opportunities. Location is Alexandria, VA and requires on-site work. The role also calls for maintaining a qualified pipeline and aligning opportunities with corporate strategy and technical offerings.
Required Qualifications
- Proven success shaping and winning large-scale DoD contracts ($50M+)
- Deep knowledge of federal procurement lifecycle and acquisition strategies
- Active and extensive network across the DoD including acquisition officials, program managers, and industry partners
- Ability to lead capture efforts including shaping, planning, customer engagements, win strategies, and proposal coordination
- Experience building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities aligned with corporate strategy and technical offerings
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with government and industry stakeholders
- Ability to influence contract outcomes and procurement processes
