Job Summary
Develop and manage strategic sourcing plans for raw materials, including diesel, gas, lubricants, and industrial gases, by analyzing customer spending and market trends to identify improvement opportunities. Negotiate contracts using weighted criteria matrices to secure optimal commercial terms while maintaining strong partnerships with current and new suppliers. Coordinate the entire transaction cycle from demand definition to contract management, assess procurement risks, and develop action plans to minimize exposure. Serve as the central contact for internal customers in Canada and the United States, conducting regular site visits to understand operations and support customized solutions aligned with global strategy. Provide management with analysis and reports on savings achieved while contributing to cross-functional purchasing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in procurement or relevant domain
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Good knowledge of the market
- Education in business administration, commerce, finance, or engineering
- Bilingual in French and English
- Solid knowledge of data management tools, performance analysis, and Office Suite tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
- Ability to take full ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to understand organizational structures and adapt effectively
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Good analytical, summarizing and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously
