Job Summary
Develop purchasing strategies for assigned product categories including HVAC, appliance, and related items. Negotiate pricing, buying programs, and vendor agreements while building strong supplier relationships. Analyze inventory levels, sales trends, and demand forecasts to identify cost-reduction opportunities and improve inventory turns. Create reports and dashboards that support purchasing decisions and maintain ERP purchasing data. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Distribution, IT, and Accounting to solve purchasing challenges and support strategic supply chain initiatives. Requires 5+ years of purchasing experience, advanced Excel skills, and ERP proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP)
- ERP experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
