Job Summary

Strategic Business Development Leader responsible for accelerating Wolfspeed’s growth in the data center and AI power system segments from grid to rack. Drive market expansion, build executive-level customer partnerships with OEMs/ ODMs/ EMS and ecosystem partners to secure long-term design-ins and strategic agreements. Lead strategic growth initiatives through joint development programs and technology partnerships to expand SiC market presence. Own deal structuring and negotiations for strategic contracts and licensing, and advocate for customer needs in product/roadmap planning. Collaborate cross-functionally with product lines, sales, and engineering to align growth initiatives with technical capabilities. Monitor competitors, regulations, and regional adoption to shape strategy; travel globally as needed. Must be able to develop strategic account plans, qualify opportunities, and support customers through design cycles toward production. This role reports to leadership and may include additional duties as designated. Salary guidance reflects posted ranges, with actual pay determined by qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, sales or FAE within power semiconductors inc WBG in the industrial and energy related sectors

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, sales or field applications engineering within power semiconductors or wide-bandgap technologies
  • Strong track record in securing strategic deals, joint development programs, or long-term supply/ licensing agreements with global automotive OEMs/ tiered suppliers
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and executive relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel globally
  • Good understanding of power electronics and SiC/GaN technologies
  • Ability to articulate technical value propositions to executive and engineering audiences
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving go-to-market initiatives
