Job Summary
Strategic Analytics Associate within JPMorgan Chase's Consumer & Community Banking Risk Cards team responsible for generating analytics and recommendations to shape credit risk strategy across the card life cycle. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and improving credit program policies and processes; conducting complex analyses with actionable recommendations to management; building analytics to monitor emerging trends and portfolio quality across underwriting, portfolio management, and collections; leveraging internal and external data to create analytical solutions for risk strategies; performing ad hoc analyses and contributing to risk-management projects. Requires strong SAS/R/Python and SQL skills, advanced MS Office capabilities, and a proven ability to translate data into executive-level insights and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s in engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Mathematics (or equivalent quantitative field)
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Consulting, Data Analytics, Risk Strategy, or related Financial Analysis
- Strong SAS/R/Python and SQL programming skills
- Advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
- Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information
- Familiarity with risk analytic techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly present analytical findings and make business recommendations and prepare executive level communications
- High degree of initiative, self-direction, and excellent project management skills to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships
- Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail with a proven ability to learn quickly
- Prior experience of working in Cards industry in strategy / policy role
