Strategic Accounts Manager (Aerospace/Defense)

Job Summary
Develop business strategies for assigned accounts by identifying customer status, focus, and growth avenues to maximize sales and gross profit. Coordinate corporate-to-corporate reviews by arranging agendas with customers and management, while creating formal sales presentations using technical resources. Assist the Vice President of Strategic Sales with annual budgeting and input on cost forecasts, and initiate pricing agreements to achieve incremental profitability through manufacturer contract negotiations. Maintain accurate customer inventory and buying process data in the database for trend analysis, and review financial results to recommend adjustments for growth objectives. Foster relationships by hosting customer visits, resolving issues proactively, and monitoring competitor activities through industry research and networking. Participate in the TTI Total Quality Program to drive process improvements and uphold ethical business standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid state driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Insurable by the Companies' liability carrier
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee)
- Must be local or willing to relocate at their own expense
- Must be able to travel 50% of the time
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Five to seven years' experience in electronics distribution or a related field
- Thorough knowledge of company product lines, sales, purchasing, operations, and systems

Desired Qualifications
- Equivalent combination of education and experience to the Bachelor's Degree and five to seven years' experience requirement
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications at a basic level
