Job Summary
Strategic Account Specialist responsible for account development and growth across freight forwarding, customs brokerage, drayage, and warehousing. Build and maintain account plans for assigned customers, expand services within key accounts across trade lanes and logistics functions, identify and pursue up-sell/cross-sell opportunities, pursue new business opportunities in designated territories and industry verticals, and prepare tailored proposals while supporting RFQs and opportunity closure. Manage client relationships through regular visits and reviews, track engagement and client attrition, and drive high customer satisfaction. Collaborate with operations and procurement on pricing, service delivery, and market positioning; generate quotes and provide CRM updates and forecasting. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred) and at least 3 years in freight forwarding/logistics, with strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills and proficiency in CRM tools such as CargoWise.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of global logistics and supply chain management.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
