Job Summary
As a Strategic Account Executive, you will target and close new business with Datadog’s largest customers while maintaining and building relationships within Fortune 1000 companies. Your responsibilities include understanding customer pain points in cloud environments, developing relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring high forecasting accuracy. Candidates should have over 5 years of field sales experience, a proven track record of meeting sales goals, and experience in tech sales. Regular travel will be required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of closing experience in sales
- Met or exceeded direct sales goals of over 1M
- Ability to negotiate pricing and business terms effectively
- Demonstrated ability to manage existing customer expectations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a tech company (SaaS, IT infrastructure)
- Proven methodology to prospect and build pipeline independently
- Experience selling into Fortune 1000 companies

- Role requires regular travel to client sites
