Job Summary
The Strategic Account Executive role focuses on targeting and closing new business with Datadog’s largest customers, particularly in the cloud environment. Responsibilities include prospecting into Fortune 1000 companies, managing relationships within specific territories, negotiating pricing and business terms, and ensuring high forecasting accuracy. The ideal candidate has over five years of closing experience, successful performance in direct sales, and expertise in SaaS or IT infrastructure sales.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of closing experience
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding direct sales goals of 1M+
- Experience with an average deal size of $100k+
- Ability to prospect and build pipeline independently
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in selling into large Fortune 1000 companies
- Understanding of SaaS and IT infrastructure
- Ability to win new logos
