Job Summary
Originate and close large, complex, high-value transactions with major construction, industrial, and infrastructure customers by leveraging an established network of relationships across the construction equipment industry. Serve as a "rainmaker" to proactively identify and convert major growth opportunities, including large fleet sales and long-term strategic supply agreements. Build and maintain C-suite relationships with owners and senior decision-makers while developing a strategic territory plan to land new marquee accounts. Lead the structuring, negotiation, and closing of integrated equipment and consumable packages, coordinating internal resources to build competitive proposals. Represent the company at industry events to expand relationships and provide senior-level market intelligence to leadership on account strategy and deal structuring. Maintain compliance with all policies, including Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- 15–25 years of progressive experience in outside sales, strategic account management, or business development
- significant, direct experience in the construction equipment industry
- Established, active network of relationships across construction equipment, contracting, and related industries
- demonstrated ability to leverage those relationships to generate new business
- Proven track record of independently sourcing and closing large, complex, high-value transactions
- Strong executive presence with the ability to build credibility and trust with C-suite executives, owners, and senior decision-makers
- Deep understanding of commercial and contract terms, deal structuring, and negotiation strategy for large, integrated equipment and service packages
- Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities others may not see
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include senior management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Strong financial and business acumen, including the ability to evaluate deal profitability and structure win-win agreements
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis, report generation, and preparing sales proposals and presentations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills
- Excellent oral, written, communication, and presentation skills

- Extensive knowledge of the company's full business portfolio, goals, and value proposition

- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to maintain a heavy travel schedule, including extended and international travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- equivalent industry experience and demonstrated track record of closing large transactions
- SAP experience, particularly SAP Business One
