Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee the delivery of Strategic Aboriginal Heritage Assessments, developing project plans, timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements. Liaise with government agencies, developers, planning authorities, consultants, and Traditional Owners to facilitate workshops and community engagement activities. Support field survey activities and cultural heritage assessments to identify the extent and significance of living, tangible, and intangible cultural values across Wadawurrung Country. Manage project documentation, data collection, and risk monitoring to ensure outcomes align with cultural governance processes. Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in archaeology, Cultural heritage management, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Aboriginal Cultural heritage management in Victoria
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination or project management
- Experience working within Aboriginal Cultural Heritage, land management, planning, environmental, natural resource management, or related sectors
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Experience working with government agencies, Traditional Owner groups, consultants, or community organisations
- Excellent organisational, communication, and report writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
- A commitment to culturally safe practices and respect for Aboriginal cultural values
